Thank you ladies for all the reviews. I was thinking about ordering Luminess. I have learned from past experience to always check reviews before ordering anything. I will definitely NOT be ordering this product!

Ladies,

I just want to thank you all for your honest and forthcoming comments. I was really interested when I saw the infomercial on T.V. What woman doesn't want flawless looking skin? However, after reading the majority of the comments I'm not going to get my bank account involved in this (it doesn't seem worth it does it?). I mean, even if the product is great, the hassle of constantly checking my bank account to make sure someone's not dipping their hands in the cookie jar is a bit overwhelming. My skin would probably start looking horrible any way from all the worry. :)

I've used Bare Minerals and it's eh-okay. The best makeup I've encountered is Lancome. I know it sounds lame, but I do my makeup in natural light, next to the window, and I use a liquid foundation brush. It looks like a paint brush, but works great. Sephora has decently priced ones. We all have different skin, so everyone will find a different product that works the best. For now I'll just wait until something better comes out on the market.

Good luck to everyone!

THANK YOU!!!! To everyone who has shared their comments and experience with the Luminess system. I, too was about to order...thought it was expensive and was so happy to read your comments. I'm SO busy(five children, full time job, aren't we all?) I don't have time to devote to endless customer service phone calls and frustrating representatives....I will NOT be ordering this product...Luminess Air Co.....the word is out...your product isn't worth the hassle! So sorry for all the customers who have had to deal with these frustrations. Good luck to you all and again, thank you for saving me the hassle.

It's so interesting reading the different reactions to the Luminess system. It just goes to show how a bad customer experience can influence your view of the product - I've read heaps of negative reviews of the Luminess Air all around the net. From my experience, and from what I have read and heard from others, Dinair has the best customer service by far. They go as far as one-on-one skin tone matching on Skype which is awesome I think. My website www.airbrushmakeupsalon.com has reviews of several of the top airbrush makeup systems out there is you want to have a look. We also have lots of other information including how to guides, tips and videos. We love airbrush makeup but we know it's not for everyone. Plus, there are so many options out there now for the consumer that there's no need to be locked into a company that you don't feel comfortable with. Happy airbrushing!

I do not have this product. I use bare minerals, and I really like it! I just wanted to note that the person making all the positive comments is the same person every time "Karen". This BS sounds like a scam to me. I'll stick to my swirl, tap, and apply.

Tanis (181) I was taking mine apart and that little thing fell out. I was so upset with myself. I was almost in tears. I thought I broke it and it is practially brand new. I went online and finally found a UTube (actually several) that showed me how to take it apart and how to put it back together. WOW fixed it. Wasnt broken. However if you make sure the pen is always on tightly that little piece wont fall out. The little piece goes inside a bit then put in the trigger. If you have access to the internet should help you and anyone eles. All situations are online with nice people trying to help all of us!

As to you all who have had a bad experience with this product, it seems it is always about returning it. Think about buying from HSN! I buy many things from them and there is no problem with returning and getting my money back. I really love this machine. At first I had a hard time because I didnt know how to hold the pen. Foundation was going everywhere, YUCK! Then I decided to just spray with water. Got the hang of holding and spraying. It takes me a total of 10 minutes to put on my makeup. I put on the Primer and then my foundation. Then I start to get dressed. I go back and put on my blush. I dry with the pen and then finish getting dressed. Getting dressed in between helps me make sure the makeup is really dry. I finish with my eyes and lips and I am dressed and makeup on perfect. Oh yes, then I do my hair which is no problem. My face looks Great and I get lots of compliements. I am an elementary school teacher and now my students tell me every morning how pretty I look! I havent had this very long but I am getting better and better at putting it on and holding the pen and I know how to take it apart, put it back and clean it. oh I am well over 60 and with this makeup none of my wrinkles show and I look much much younger.

Now I just want to know if I have the best color of foundation. LOL -

Return it NEVER.

I ordered the 30 day trial and have tried the product. I'm now in the process of returning it. 1st the $29.95 30 day trial actually cost me $107.92 + the cost of shipping it back to them. It took two 30 minute phone calls to place the order and then my credit card was charged an extra $10.00 to upgrade to the 3 speed compressor, $17.50 for express shipping, $62.18 for eyeshadow and eyeliner. I only ordered the 30 day trial...all of the extras were discussed at length and were pushed during the order process, but I never ordered them. Once I received the product it certainly wasn't in an express shipping timeframe. Although quite simple to use...the instructions and the video are lame and of poor instuctional quality. They charged me for a 3 speed unit and I have no idea what the 3 speeds are for. There's NO information about it...not on the video, not in the booklet...WHAT??? What kind of business does that sort of thing. Oh and the $62.18 I was charged for eyeshadow and eyeliner ... OMG ... are you serious? The quality of the product was worse than the cheapest crap you'd find at WalMart. As far as the airbrush system itself... Well, right out of the box, no matter how you hold it, the spray is unreliable and erratic...I do have past experience with airbrush systems, so I do know what to expect from the spray. OK...So now I start reading up on how to return the product and let me just say...there are more instructions on how to return the product than there are on using it. They make it quite clear, if you screw up and don't return it exactly in the manner stated... it will be sent back to you and you will be charged for it. It's ridiculous...you have to get a return authorization number, it has to be recorded on the box in a particular location, once you receive the number, the product must be received by their facility within this many days...blah, ba blah, ba blah. Also, instructions tell you to go to their website to get the return authorization number but when you click on the link you get a message saying that it is under construction...WHAT??? then why send us to the website? The website gives you a phone number to call to get the return authorization number. When you call it you have to listen to a very long intro with at least 8 different options to choose from...Return authorization being the very last one...and here's the kicker...WHEN YOU PRESS THE NUMBER, IT DOESN'T WORK...it goes back to the beginning of the recording and starts all over again. I tried to contact them all day long using 4 different phone numbers they had listed and had the same problem with each number. I finally called the phone number they listed for Hawaii, Alaska and pressed #1..."to order cosmetics or an airbrush system". I couldn't believe it...that's what it took to get in touch with them. My WARNING to anyone that has seen their TV infomercial...You need to reconsider ordering anything from this company. There are far more reputable airbrush companies offering a much better product than Luminess Air.
