It hides panty lines, it holds in your tummy and holds up your butt. It's long enough to cover your knees, so your thighs look smooth, too. It's worth the 20 bucks you technically pay for it. The BODY shaper, however, is another story. It's hard to get on. It's stiff and uncomfortable. It rolls up when you sit. Even when you get the correct size, it binds around the waist and sags under the arms and at the back. It creates another bulge -- which I'm guessing nobody wants -- below the bottom edge if it's worn alone. It really does no more for you than a simple waist cincher -- which will be easier to get in and out of. If Hollywood stars are wearing this thing, it's no wonder so many of them are on drugs. Unfortunately, they come only as a set. IF you want the bottom shaper badly enough to be forced to buy the body shaper at the same time, go for it. I am giving to Goodwill so someone the right size can use it. Seems to me, anyone small enough to wear this would not need a body shaper.
