I used the product, "Smooth Away," on my upper lip, and now I have redness on that area. It stings and burns, too. The redness is very noticeable, and guess what... I have to go to my uncle's lacrosse game and birthday dinner, in a few hours. If the redness does not go away, I am going to have to miss them! So, thank you so much "Smooth Away!"

I give this product a negative 100 rating.

I would use a shaver anyday! SHAVING IS A WELL IMPROVED TECHNOLOGY now a days that you can't beat with NEWLY INVENTED buffs. Im pretty sure that using a fresh razorblade will leave your skin more safe and intact than any buffing machine - that's like TAKING A STEP BACK INTO THE STONEAGE!

And YES: BUFFING WILL take away your tanning color, make the skin dry and irritated - just like razors (and chemicals). And like all the other products it depends on you skin sensitivity, you pain tolerance etc. and if you have to buff a lot you take away more skin cells, just as is you have to shave the same area several times - it makes the skin more irritated.

AND to the mysterious question as to they work:
If a product doesn't pull out you hair at the roots, it's the same as shaving, using veet etc - and your hair will NOT grow thinner ;)

They sell a similar product in your local dollar tree. its called lassy legs. I'm a guy who has a lot of hair and waxing hurts too much. This thing works and it doesnt hurt at all. i still dont know how its doing it but it works. the only problem is that it takes a while to get all the hair off. It also takes off long hair so give it a try its only a dollar.
